Notes/Domino 7.5 this summer?
Remember how awhile ago Lotus decided to synch the release schedules of Notes/Domino and their companion products (Sametime/Quickplace etc.?) Well Bruce Elgort brought up a pretty good point last week when he asked the question?
“If Sametime 7.5 is coming out this summer, does that mean Notes/Domino 7.5 will hit then as well?”
Who knows? Could THAT be Domino “Next.” If so, it would be the classic case of under-promise and over-deliver. I would love for that to be the case! Anyone got any inside scoop they can share, or are they breaking the synchronized versioning?

There is no major release of Notes/Domino slated for 2006. There are a few features (like RSS/Blog templates) coming out in a Notes “feature” pack and that’s it.
Sametime 7.5 is a one-off release to begin the cycle of Eclipse-based client releases…getting Sametime revised ASAP was worth breaking the synchronized cycle.
