Even Bill Gates admits they didn't match Notes
In Peter O’Kelly’s Reality Check, he posted an interesting quote from Fortune magazine. Go to Peter’s story for the direct link (as it requires registration) but I was thrilled to see the following:
How much has Microsoft wanted to beat Notes?
Gates: There are two ways to think of Notes. One is as an e-mail product, and the other is as a deep collaboration product. Microsoft competed with Notes as e-mail. We never matched Notes in some of the collaborative features.”
There you have it! “We never matched Notes in some of the collaborative features.”
That has to make IBM happy. Time to add that quote to “The Boss Loves Microsoft” presentation Ed! 🙂
