Blackberry Enterprise Server SP3 for 4.0 is out (with Domino 7 support)
With the release of BES 4.1 getting delayed until Q1 2006, I thought that official support for Domino 7 on the Blackberry was going to be waiting until then. Thankfully, RIM released SP3 for BES 4.0. last week.
I installed the service pack last week (still on a Domino 6.5.X server) and it can talk to Domino 7 servers without any issues. As such, our migration to Domino 7 has begun!
So, if you were wondering, BES 4.0 SP3 CAN talk to mail on Domino 7 servers without issue. Use this information as you see fit! 🙂

This just came out recently and they already have a hotfix for it.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked it out and it really isn’t that big of a deal, at least in my environment.
The main issue I see is that some services might not auto start after a reboot which has always seemed to be the case for us. I just tend to keep an eye on it. I didn’t really see any show stoppers… yet
