Now THIS is a Notes Error
While troubleshooting a mail database, I accessed it via iNotes and tried to save a preference. This is the error I got on the iNotes console:
07/23/2009 12:14:05PM A problem has occurred which may have caused the current operation to fail.
07/23/2009 12:14:05PM Error code: 0 – Unknown QuickPlace error
Suggested solution: This error has occured [sic] so deep in the system that even we don’t know what caused it. Your best bet is to simply try again.
Nevermind that it was iNotes and not QuickPlace (we do run Quickr) and nevermind we dont have any of the Quickr connector stuff set up on webmail. Yes, “the error occured (misspelled) so deep in the system that even we don’t know what caused it.” Alrighty then…
Wow. Now that is an error message.

I love that Error!
I got a clue why it’s showing up as a QuickPlace error.
INotes borrowed a lot of the API from QuickPlace including several of the QuickPlaceSkinComponents that Quickr use still today.

One of my customer once reported the following message in the server console when the found out the server was unresponsive.
“We are actually busy. New feeling.”
Enjoy that one… never knew what happened..

I do admire the honesty of the last bit though
