One, Two, Three, Fourteen?
I’m sure you all have heard the beginning of Vertigo by U2 where Bono sings, Uno, Dos, Tres, Catorce. That’s Spanish for 1, 2, 3, 14. There are tons of theories as to WHY he sang that, and I think the most plausible is that it was U2’s 14th album release. Anyway, that’s not the cool part.
The other day my wife called me at work. When my three-year old heard my wife sing Uno, Dos, Tres, Catorce she looked right at her and said ‘No, No, No Mom, it’s Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro!’ That’s my girl. Dora the Explorer does something after all 🙂

Damn straight, man! Dora rules. Heh. My own 2 1/2 year old daughter has no trouble counting to 15 in Spanish, which cracks me up because in English she skips from 14 to 17 (pronounced ‘sedenteen’ which is too cute for words) and then 19. Consistently. No idea why…
