Is the swag just bad this year?
Hey everyone, are the giveaways lacking this year or is it just me? Maybe I’m just jaded after coming here all these years, but I don’t just take every yo-yo and frisbee and pen that people are giving away. AND, if a company is giving away a shirt, it’s got to be cool. Case in point is the Peerwire shirt.
First of all, Peerwire is a cool idea. It’s a P2P application for coders. Basically you can share all of your code snippets and Domino objects. If tons of other people do the same, it can become very valuable. Hopefully the idea will take off. It’s only $9.99 a month, so it’s fairly cheap even if it only saves you an hour of coding a month. Besides, the shirt is a cool Matrix themed one 🙂
So are there some cool giveaways that I am missing? Tell me which booths to hit. And yes, I already have snagged a Cult Shirt!

Yes, the trinkets are piffle this year. On the other hand, Peerwire totally rocks. I’m thinking it will give us all a chance to share the best we have – which hopefully means I can not only get more work done, but become famous for the occasionally clever code snippet… (God knows my users and managers never ask to see the really clever stuff, they only care if it works…. the heathens.)
