This is my daughter Kalista Quinn. We call her Kali. She was born at 10:15 PM, November 10th, 2001. At that point my whole outlook on life changed. I had always thought that I would never be a father. Didn’t think I’d like it or would be good at it. So my plan was to never have kids. But when my wife and I got engaged, we discussed kids, and my wife really wanted to have children. As such, I knew that to be with my soulmate, I would have to get used to the idea of being a father.
I have to thank my wife for talking me into being a Dad. Kali is the most amazing thing to ever happen to me, and every day I’m more thankful that she is in my life. I even loved being a Dad so much that I agreed to be a father a second time. My next daughter will be born any day now, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m going to have my two Daddy’s Little Girls and then I’m done. It does make for a lopsided 3-1 household, but that’s okay.
I almost feel guilty being so happy at a time when one of our own is so sad. Bruce, just know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I can’t even begin to imagine what you are going through right now. I hope everything goes as peacefully as possible for your Dani. Take Care of yourself man.
