I pulled the trigger on my UGM
Just an update to the PC Hardware speed freaks and gamers out there. I just placed the order for all the parts for my Ultimate Gaming Machine, or as coined by the Screen Savers, UGM (pronounced uh-gum.) Basically I wanted to take my existing computer and turn it into a home server, so I decided to go hog wild in ordering the new machine. For those of you out there that love the latest and greatest, or are gamers, here’s the list::
- Coolermaster Wave Master Case
- Antec 480W True Blue Power Supply
- Chaintech 9JCS Motherboard (SATA RAID, Gigabit adapter, 7.1 sound)
- Pentium 4 3.2 MHz Processor with Hyperthreading and an 800 MHz front side bus
- Corsair TWINX1024-4000PRO 1GB DDR500 XMS4000 ProSeries Memory
- An ATI Radeon 9800 XT videocard
- Two Western Digital 74 GB Raptor SATA 10,000 RPM hard drives (in Raid0)
- One Ultra ATA 200 GB Maxtor Hard Drive
- Plextor 708A DVD Burner
- Lite-on CDRW drive
I believe that this should allow me to compete with Declan and his new machine and John in pretty much any twitch game out there! See you on the UTK2K4 servers!

I’m glad you like it This thing just screams… Just a few more things need to get moved over from the old machine before I can use her full time. At that point my old machine becomes my server!
