Microsoft OneNote
While I was at Lotusphere, I noticed a really interesting trend. In almost every session I was in, someone was taking notes about the session in Microsoft OneNote. These weren’t just Tablet PC folks either. So I’m wondering, do any of you use OneNote? Is it worth checking out? Was I just lucky enough to be sitting by Microsoft employees in every session? Enquiring minds want to know!

I’ve used it, and scrapped it. It’s a tray icon you can click on to jot notes on. It comes up quickly.
If you really use it every day, then it’s worth it. As for myself, I just got tired of it, and really tired of looking at the tray icon, so I scrapped it.

I liked it but the exported html (that is one file mime html) is only readable with Internet Explorer. A good product that does work best with Microsoft only. If I invest in new software it must have a lossless export format. Apart from that I really liked it. For me Microsoft has missed a chance to get a comeback on my environment. I still think that for a shop that has all the MS stuff it can be an excellent tool.

I’ve played with it a bit. I’d play with it even more if I had a tablet. I wish it were an OLE server, or that there were some other (better than OLE) way to integrate it into the Lotus Notes environment.
