Flickr adds some upgrades
In the last two weeks, Flickr made some really cool changes that I’ve been waiting for. First off, file size used to be capped at 5MB per upload. For most people that’s probably fine, but for me it was prohibitive. Many times images from my Canon 20D would be in the 7-8 MB range after I converted them from RAW to JPEG. Anyway, Pro users can now upload files up to 10MB in size. That will keep me happy for a long time to come.
Secondly, they have added a ton of features to website badges. Before they were somewhat limited to just showing your photostream. Now you can set up badges based on tags or what groups they are in, and you can do it in both HTML and Flash and you can customize with CSS goodness. Awesome.
This service just keeps getting better and better. As soon as they get a way to order prints, they’ll be unbeatable.
