Comes down to parenting

Well this past weekend was fairly nice, culminating with a New York Jet’s loss! Now I can continue to watch playoff football without having to be sickened by a Jet’s win. J-E-T-S LOST LOST LOST! Ahhhh, all better.

What’s not better is that I got a nasty cold over the weekend. It was really bad on Sunday and Monday, and today I’m feeling a tad bit better, but not great. I think it’s mainly better living through chemicals. So needless to say, I didn’t work out yesterday. I think the fates are against me losing weight 🙂

As for the LCD, at first it was hard to get used to, but now I love it. I think I’ll keep it around, but I still have over a week to keep testing it out before I can return it. We’ll see how it goes, but I think it’s a keeper as I’ve finally gotten used to how games look while playing.

On a completely different topic. There are a lot of people out there who subscribe to the Child-Free lifestyle. I bring this up, because I went to my buddy Richard May’s website. He’s one of the childfree sort, and I know a few others. Basically, they live their lives without ever planning to have children. They also pretty much despise bad parenting in public. This is something we have in common. Too may parents now let their kids run amok in stores and restaurants, not concerned in the least about the folks around them. I HATE that. But that being said, I LOVE being a parent. Kali is one of the most precious things in this world, and I cannot imagine life without her now. I however will be a responsible parent and will not tolerate the bad behavior that many other parents allow. I may be a “breeder” as Richard and the like would call me, but I’m a responsible one.

Maybe if more of the Child-Free folks just became responsible parents, the scene would change. Who knows? All I know is, it’s their loss!
