Breaking the silence of the night

Wow, has it really been a couple of weeks? Time flies when you are having fun huh? My fun has been getting up to speed on my new MacBook Pro, and diving head first into Lightroom.

You see, normally I spend some time blogging during my morning and evening commutes on the train. I ride about an hour each way, so that gives me plenty of time to blog. Well, since I got the Mac, I’ve been playing with it. Getting it completely ready to be my everyday business machine. I can tell you now that I never want to go back to Windows full time. Don’t get me wrong, I still NEED Windows, but I’d rather live in OSX and bounce to Windows via Parallels Desktop if I ever need to. And that’s what I’m doing. It’s the best of both worlds really.

The other obession has been Adobe Lightroom. I bought it before the discount ended and have spent nearly ever train ride since importing photos and then culling through them, deleting the bad ones, touching up some here and there, and tagging them. My photo library has been a mess for awhile and I really needed to organize it. I’ve been shooting digital for about a decade now (man, has it been that long?) and so I’ve amassed quite a library. I’m looking forward to getting it all organized and then uploaded to flickr.

Anyway, that’s where I’ve been lately. On Monday, I’m finally done migrating everything from my thinkpad to the Mac so I’ll have a little more time to start posting again. I’m sure you wait with baited breath

🙂
